Description

Locality: 2 Rang de l'Aigle, Montcerf, Québec, Canada Grenville titanites are highly sought after by both local rockhounds and international collectors, prized for their superb, lustrous crystals with razor-sharp edges. Despite their typically brittle nature and the tough environments they form in, this locality is renowned for producing exceptional specimens. Though they may appear black or dark brown at first glance, when backlit, these crystals reveal a stunning maroon-red hue. This particular specimen, though bearing a minor ding on the top right edge, remains a fine example of Grenville titanite's natural beauty. The piece features a well-formed, sharp-edged crystal in a matrix of green diopside, adding to its overall appeal.
